How do I connect to my Mac?

Open the app and follow the setup wizard. You'll need to enable Remote Login on your Mac (System Settings → General → Sharing → Remote Login) and enter your Mac's local IP address.

What AI providers are supported?

OpenClaw supports OpenAI (GPT-4, GPT-4o), Google (Gemini), and other OpenAI-compatible APIs. You'll need an API key from your chosen provider.

Does OpenClaw work outside my home network?

OpenClaw is designed for local network use. For remote access, you would need to configure port forwarding or a VPN, which is outside the scope of the app.

Why does the app need camera/microphone access?

Camera access allows the AI to see what you're looking at when you request visual assistance. Microphone access enables the voice wake word feature. Both are optional.
